hello there um, i wanted to know if anybody could help me in hooking up my ps3 to my monitor with my pc speakers, cause i allready know that i could hook it up with HDMI to DVI but there wont be sound so i have to use my PC speakers, but i have no output plugin for my speakers so i was wondering if anyone could help me out in finding a way to hookup my pc speakers to the ps3 with video. i have stereo (2 speakers) speakers so yeah i have one (GREEN) plug. lol

My understanding is that its impossible to get your pc speakers to work unless you get an adaptor that will allow you to plug them into the ps3. On a sidenote make sure your monitor is HDCP compliant or it wont work.

The HDMI cable (im pretty sure) has to support HDCP but you have to make sure that your monitor does too. I believe that there is a way to connect your speakers to the PS3 but I haven't tried it myself. I think you have to use the av cable that comes with the PS3 and then use various adpters ( y-cables, barrel connectors. etc.) to connect the white and yellow cables to your speakers.
