Does futureshop do what other places do when their cashier think someone is under 17, it's either show some ID or no go?

Yes, it's standard procedure to ask for ID when the person's age is in question. If you have a parent, guardian or generous older sibling present who has ID, then that's fine.
P.S. Kids, please do not use homeless people off the street to buy God of War III for you.

i bought it today without needing anyone or an ID... must be my maturing moustache haha. I hit 18 last october.
