Purchased this tv for a xmas present just over a month ago for sons room, therefore used since Dec 25th. TV has been great, yesterday watched it in the morning. Then later in the day turned it on the green light came on then the tv shut itself off. Unplugged from the wall, waited several mintues then tried again. Same thing, green light came on for about 60 seconds then went off. Screen stayed black, no sound nothing. Has this happned to these tv's before? Is there any suggestions, I do not have warranty. thanks

Ours is doing the same had it since November.  DId you figure out the problem?

There is not much you can do as a consumer at this point.

If you haven't already, try the TV in another outlet in the house, or even an outlet at a friend or relative's house.  It may be a problem with your outlet.

However, failing that, you likely have a power supply issue as your TV is not getting the power it needs to stay on.

If your set is no longer under warranty, take it to a TV repair shop and ask for an estimate.  It should be a relatively simple task to fix, but you can't be 100% sure without looking at it.

Alternatively, save the money from the repair and buy a brand new set.
