The difference between the two will only be seen when there are fast camera movements.  Other than that, you will not see the difference.

I think this really depends on the person. Visit the store and see for yourself. I get motion sickness watching any footage not on a tripod.

Each time the camera moves or shakes, I notice a ghost or blurr around edges on cheap tv's. Remember on HD, everything is 6 times more detailed.

I have the same question.  Does size matter?  I was looking at the Samsung 46" LED 46C5000 which is 60Hz and the Sony CCFL 46EX500 at 120Hz.  I've always been partial to Sony, but the Samsung blew me away.  But I've only seen them display rather sedantary scenery.  I'm not into fast sports, but I do enjoy a good fast paced movie.  Anyone familiar with these two TV's?

Anyone know the Philips 46PFL5505 240Hz only $699... Why so cheap? Anygood?

Phillips is one of the best selling Televisions in Europe right now, the reason why there televisions are so cheap is because, A. There Future Shop exclusives so Future Shop asked for thoughs specs and prices to better suite the consumer and B. There trying to create a North American market for them selves in televisions. There giving Sony, Toshiba, LG, Sharp, and Panasonic a run for there money. Keep in mind that the 240hrtz is a fine motion enhancement not a true motion enhancement.

I agree with XL as well: take a look for yourself. I am sensitive to motion blur as well. If you are considering a LCD, 120 Hz is a must imho, especially in a larger TV, as there is more surface area thus the picture becomes more susceptable to blurring or judder. 120Hz will REDUCE motion blur but not eliminate it. 240Hz tends to render an artificial, soap opera, cartoonish look to the picture and to me, does not reduce the motion as much as 60Hz to 120Hz does.

Ultimately, if motion is a concern, buy a plasma: faster processing which means no judder or blur ( although some film does have anatural blur to it), better viewing angles, higher contrast and less expensive when comparing apples to apples.
