Employee mistake?

Hi, I recently purchased a new tv in-store and I paid in full but the tv was not in stock and the employee checked me out and gave me a reciept.
On the reciept it says that its in lay away and I was wondering if this was a mistake on the employee's part or if my product will still be on its way to the store, I DID pay in full that day. I purchased it on December 26th Boxing day and it said it was in stock when I checked online today. So I would like to know if everything is normal and that it will still be delivered to the store?

Layaway is used when the store and distribution center is out of stock
