Hi, quick question to someone who may know if this is possible.
I recently bought a TV from Futureshop (last week) and it was purchased on a credit card (which I seem to have lost the day I bought the TV). Now that I want to return the TV to get a better one down the road, is it still possible to get a refund? I still have all my receipts, etc.
This is because the refund policy says, it'll refund in the "original method of payment".

You have 30 days to return the TV with the receipt. If you can't find your credit card then you need to report it ASAP for security reasons. They can send you out a new one doesn't take that long for it to arrive by mail, they may even be able to put a rush on it if you ask them.

Thanks for the reply. I did call my credit company and they said it should be here in 10 days.
But since I still want to return this TV I bought on my credit card, would it still be possible without the card in hand? Possibly use another credit card to take the refund? or debit?

The important thing is you have your recipt, explain to them you have lost your credit card and have taken steps to to cancel the old one . The new one will be here in 10 days until then you would like to return your TV. You might be able to get a store credit OR you can wait until your new card arrives.
The TV was paid for by card A which is no longer valid and now you want to make a return on card B, not sure if there will be issue because two different numbers are involved. They may end up either doing a store credit or may have to refund it on your debit card. One way or another, you will get your refund...there's always a way.
If there was any hassle at customer service, which I don't think there will be, the credit card company customer service number will be in the back, you can always call them to verify the numbers.
Hope this helps.

They gave me a gift card instead, how lame. Now it's like, I HAVE to buy from futureshop. Said even if I got the card replaced, it has to be from the same number.
Thanks anyways. =)
Gona see if I can sell the card for cheaper.

Keep the card and get the TV you want, if need help in choosing a good model let me know. I'm glad it got sorted out for you, too bad they couldn't just refund it on to your new card or even debit. Its money you've earned or worked for...so why not treat yourself.
