I have bought a Panasonic G25 recently and after discovering that it doesn't play some video files, i went out and bought a Samsung Blueray player (BD-D5700). In hooking it up the disc was slow to load and the screen would have a snowy picture and the disk seemingly was skipping.
Returned the player for another one and same issues with the next one. I plugged it into another TV (a samsung LCD) and it worked perfectly.
I have checked all the HDMI ports on the Panasonic TV, tried different cables and 3 different Blueray discs and nothing changes the picture.
Anyone know what could be the problem here? I have sent along my problem to Panasonic and am waiting on an answer still.

First thing I would do, s change the Picture Mode on the Panasonic TV. Switch to THX or Cinema mode. That should clear up the snow.
Second, I would update the BD player. There may be a fix for whatever bug you may be experiencing. BluRay players do take longer to load than a normal DVD. This is due to the fact that there is about 5X's the amount of data on a BD Disc. DVDs are about 8GB's and a BD is 25-50GB.
You never mentioned if the other discs you tried skipped as well.
One last thing, the HDMI connected devices will all talk to each other. You may have to refer to the manual, but you can shut that feature off for each device. Panasonic uses what they call "Viera Link" and Samsung uses BD Wise!
Hope that helps.
