Under tv information, it says the typical consumption. Over what time span is it? For example it says 230 watts. Is that for the consumption for the entire day?

That is how much power the TV consumes when it is turned on and being viewed. Just like a 60 watt light bulb when it is turned on vs a 100 watt light bulb. The higher the number, the more energy it uses.
In standby mode, where the TV is still plugged in but turned off, they typically consumer a 1 or 2 watts, in some cases less than 1 watt.
