There are TVs out there which have internet access. But they are not as quick as using a computer. Another option of what HB said: Use a gaming console, such as the 360 or PS3, and try the internet widgets on it. I believe you can access it through the browser on the console. www.youtube.com/tv is one particular option. But being able to download stuff, you are better off with what HB said about a multimedia pc.
I have my computer hooked up to a 40" LCD TV aand it works great. I have it hooked up via HDMI. It would be neat to have a TV with a Wi-Fi option and Bluetooth, not an option at the moment but I'm sure later on it will come.

To add to my post, you can use any TV as long as your computers' inputs and the TVs match, for instance both my TV and computer have HDMI, so thats what I went with. If both only have VGA then VGA it will be.

I have the samsung 7100 series LED 55" it can access the web but only uses widges for certain sites you have down load options but it is only for samsung programming games, stories, recipes built into the tv itself but it has a PC input which i do hook the laptop to once in awhile also use the PS3 to download while using the tv and you can get dopple? think thats what it is called to make it wireless access but thw widges arent to bad if your into watching you tube as that is one of them but the tv only has 900 mb internal memory so its pretty much not something to replace a computer with but the picture is great when using the PS3
