i want to buy the sony55 inch hx701 sony ,comes with theatre system and init nt-wgo13tv stand,this stand will only good for a 50 inch max. whats with that
Most of the sizes quoted on the stands are purely for visual reasons, where the stand sizes quoted physically match the width of the TV.
A 50" TV will fit on that stand without the sides of the set overhanging the stand. THe stand is more than capable of supporting the weight of a 55" or even 60" TV, but the stand will be smaller in width than the TV's themselves.
