Yes Angry Birds addicts (like me) there is an update to Angry Birds Seasons especially for summer. Given that I slammed through the latest update to Angry Birds (in the cave) and Angry Birds Rio pretty quickly I was planning on telling you how many levels I had finished by now. Much to my chagrin, I have only finished one level because like the Angry Birds Christmas edition, they are unlocking only one level a day!
The horror!
Of course that hasn’t stopped me from finishing level 1 and then playing it a goodly few more times to get more points and a better star rating (I’m at one star on the level right now).
I find it very satisfying to be able to figure out the “trick” to each level. Of course I am told I get really tense playing Angry Birds, so I do try avoid playing close to bed time (unless I’m just trying to improve my scores). With so many Angry Birds choices out there (yes, I have them all on my iPad), you’d think we’d tire of them. You’d think that when new levels are announced we’d heave a collective sigh and say “yeah, so?”. Nope, looks like universally we love launching those birds through the air to destroy things.
Since it is summer, and as a parent I am going to be trying to encourage my kids to keep learning stuff once “school” is done for the year, I think I’m going to use Angry Birds as lessons in physics and strategy. Since I have an extra iPhone that I can press into Angry service (right now it serves as glorified iPod Touch), I think I’ll load up the original game on it. Hey, I don’t want my kids messing up my scores! Knowing them, they’ll beat all my scores then I’ll be losing sleep trying to beat their scores!
Before I close (and those of you how have been updating your devices to get the new levels start playing), here is a little Angry Birds musical tribute. Cause not only can you not get enough Angry Birds, you can never get enough Pomplamoose either!
