Canada's own progressive metal band, Protest the Hero (as seen on a variety of gaming titles, including NHL '07), is touring the country, including a weekend stop in Vancouver to play at The Vogue Theatre. Yesterday, they dropped by the downtown Future Shop store at Robson and Granville streets and made a commotion as they scoured the gaming aisles, picking up PlayStation Vitas, games and accessories to keep them occupied while traveling by van from city to city.
Here's what they had to say about Future Shop's new store concept in North Vancouver called "Futureshop.ca," the company's 30 years in business and selling musical instruments online:
While speaking with the band onsite, it was no surprise to discover they all love gaming. However, drummer Moe Carlson admitted to being the most active gamer (- now that's a strong use of his body coordination as a drumming extraordinaire).
Game on, Protest the Hero.
