As you've probably noticed, Batman: Arkham City has tons of side quests. The main campaign is pretty small (a meager 10 hours), but the amount of side quests available adds many more hours of play time and, most importantly, replayability. Sometimes it's a little hard to keep track of everything, whether it be item hotspots or Riddler trophies, but luckily for us there's a way past that: the Batman: Arkham City Official Map iOS application.
This extremely handy app will let you track your progress through the expansive game and log all of the most notable areas in the city. You can even mark off everything you've already collected to prevent backtracking -- with hundreds of Riddler trophies hidden throughout the city, an app like this is extremely beneficial. Some may say an app like this takes away from the exploration element, but having tinkered around with it myself, it's anything but. If this app seems familiar it's because a similar app was created for Dead Island, Call of Duty: Black Ops and L.A. Noire as well, which were each pretty good but Arkham City's app is truly the icing on the cake. Now if only Developer Dorling Kindersley would create an app for the Crackdown series. That would be simply amazing.
The Arkham City map app is available for $2.99 right now on iTunes, the app is compatible with most iOS devices. You'll find the other map apps for the same price, each of those downloads can be found towards the the bottom, lefthand corner of the bat app screen. No news on an Android app, but we'll keep you updated.
