Tomorrow is the day that Borderlands fans have been waiting for with baited breath. Borderlands 2 will finally grace store shelves with it's presence as the unofficial kickoff to the big 2012 autumn game release avalanche. The original game from Gearbox Software was a big sleeper hit so while it may have slipped under your radar, you’ll certainly want to take a good look at this sequel, promising to be bigger and better than ever.
Borderlands 2 is great if you love shooters. Theres so many gun variants and weapon options you’ll probably never manage to try them all. As you roam Pandora you’ll have no shortage of targets either. They seem to come from everywhere to attack you and your allies so theres lots of targets to shoot at, and lots to shoot them with.
Borderlands 2 is also great for fans of role playing games. The game has you taking quests, gaining experience points, picking up loot drops, and developing your character in your chosen player class. You can choose skills for your characters, take them into a variety of environments, and enjoy loads of epic loot. Your adventurous journey will have you unraveling the secrets of Handsome Jack and Pandora from quest to quest.
It's a somewhat unique combination, which proved a great blend before and should prove a big hit this time around. What's more, the game’s uniqueness is enhanced by a unique signature visual style combining stylized 3D graphics, with a 2D cell shading theme, and all set in a westernized theme.
You’ll be able to play this game co-op with up to three friends at once online, It's out tomorrow, on September 18th for the sony PlayStation and Microsoft Xbox 360 game consoles, as well as for the PC. It's rated M, for Mature audiences due to blood and gore, intense violence, language, sexual themes, and use of alcohol. Sounds like a good time to me!
