Well its finally here, one of this years biggest shooter games, the long anticipated Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. This will be the fourth installment in the popular Ghost Recon series and was announced what seems like eons ago, back in January 2009.
The game takes players into the near future of warfare, which the Ghost team employing bleeding edge technologies to give them tactical superiority. As with most games set in the Tom Clancy universe, the game is grounded in reality, despite its near futuristic setting.
Ghost Recon: Future soldier is a third person tactical shooter game with a strong emphasis on teamwork. As such multiplayer is a big part of this game, and you can expect it to have a lasting online community if its predecessors are to be any indication. The last Ghost Recon game drew a passionate and loyal fan-base making it a great online community and with challenging adversaries never too tough to find.
The game has suffered numerous production delays over the past few years, so you can bet that anticipation is high on this one. Having had hands on myself, I can tell you that it doesn't disappoint. It puts on a good show, and fans of the series will really enjoy the experience. The emphasis on a rich multiplayer component will certainly give it a lasting appeal too.There are a lot of levels to this game so its going to be rewarding to spend some time with it, unlocking it and reaching new levels.
Sure there are a lot of military shooting games available these days, but the Tom Clancy series has always been a little different; a little more thoughtful and considered. You won't be running and gunning or by being a lone wolf here - at least not for long. You'll want communication and trusty allies.If you're bored of the usual frantic pace of the typical spray-and-pray shooter, this game might be just the refreshing change you need.
