A new cinematic trailer for Far Cry 3 has now been officially released, the latest trailer to emerge since its debut at E3 last June. While the trailer doesn't include any new gameplay footage, it does feature more than our fair share of beautiful CGI graphics (it's amazing how realistic video games have now become) and dubstep music (not sure how I feel about this one).

The video is pretty graphic and made for an audience over 18.  You can check it out at Ubisoft's Youtube page here: http://youtu.be/J6gnOVJsCsM

Unfortunately, the trailer doesn't tell us anything about the game, but according to PlayStation Universe last summer the game's narrative director, Jason Vandenberghe, said that the story mode map will be around ten times larger than its previous installments. Indicating that it is still an open world sandbox game in which player chooses when and how they want to complete missions.  That said, lots more details about the game’s missions, the game’s characters and specific gameplay information has been unveiled in the latest copy of EDGE Magazine, as spotted by Game Everything a few days back.

By the looks of it, we're in for one hell of ride come this September.  What are your thoughts on the latest trailer?

As shown in the video, Far Cry 3 is set to be released in Europe September 7 and, from what I hear, the North American release is September 4 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.  You can preorder it on Future Shop's product page too if you're interested.
