Futuristic Appliances : The Heated Butter Knife. Toast has a new best friend!
Toast in the morning is a common breakfast meal for many households. For me, the aroma of toast in the mornings takes me back to my childhood days. How about you?
Many of you like to spread all sorts of fun things on your toast like jam, Nutella, and of course butter. But have you been frustrated with spreading butter that just came out of the refrigerator? It's a challenge to layer cold butter onto toast and get all the corners, right? Then it becomes traumatizing to watch your nicely toasted slice of bread get stabbed with holes, and topped off with uneven chunks of butter. Oh, the horror! Your morning and breakfast should come with some ease and perfection.
That is why a popular UK bakery, Warburtons, invented the heated butter knife to solve this problem. The Toastie Knife has been coined the world’s first heated knife and it warms up to 41.8 degrees Celsius, or 107.2 Fahrenheit. According to the toast experts at Warburtons, it’s the optimal temperature to cut through butter without melting the actual substance. The Toastie Knife has a bright orange grip to represent Warbutons brand. It’s powered by two AA batteries and has a short blade surface. If you want to heat the knife, you press a button and the blade can be heated at the highest temperature in about 30 seconds. There’s an LED light indicator located at the top of the handle to notify you when it’s ready to be used.
The Toastie Knife isn’t in production just yet. But the team at Warburtons are listening to consumer’s feedback via Twitter and Facebook. If you want to buy a Warburton’s Toastie Knife, show your interest by tweeting them
@Warburtons and using the hashtag #ToastieKnife.
