Nostalgic video games certainly have a way of pulling at heartstrings. A game doesn't necessarilly need to be considered "retro" in order for it to be nostalgic. As long as you share a sentimental bond, lingering memories of that time can re-emerge in some of the most amazing ways. Here's a 20-minute behind-the-scenes video remembering the original Jak and Daxter games and delving into the development behind the newly released Jak and Daxter Collection.
This trailer features interviews with the founders of Naughty Dog as well as the artists who worked on the series, discussing the impact the Jak and Daxter series had on them personally and the awe-inspiring power of nostalgia and how it can ignite such deep emotions.
I couldn't imagine a better way to depict the importance of this series, and hopefully it will inspire others to create Behind the Scenes videos for their most memorable titles. This trailer is a real tear-jerker, to say the least, so if you have a soft spot for video games you need to check this out.
Jak and Daxter Collection is now available on PlayStation 3. You can find it on the Future Shop product page as well as on PSN.
