Another tablet has hit the Canadian market, this time from LG.

The LG Optimus Pad (known as the G-Slate in the US) is powered by a dual-core Tegra 2 processor and will feature Google's Honeycomb Android 3.0 OS. Okay we've seen that already in the Motorola Xoom. So what makes this tablet unique?

Two features set the Optimus apart form the rest. The first is its size. The Optimus Pad has a unique 8.9-inch display, taking the middle road between the PlayBook and iPad 2.The second feature is the fact that it has 3 cameras. This is the first tablet which allows users to shoot 3D photos and even 3D video with the stereoscopic 5 MP cameras located on the back of the tablet.

I will be the first to admit 3D may not be the feature everyone is clamoring for, but for those who want to toy with it the option is there.

The LG Optimus Pad is be available in Canada exclusively through Rogers for $449.99 on a three year data plan. You can also purchase it with a month-to-month plan for $649.99 or with no plan for $699.99.
