Earlier this month Microsoft announced an Xbox Limited Edition Halo 4 Console bundle that looks totally slick, and I'm happy to say it's available now for pre-order on futureshop.ca. Let's take a closer look at what's included in this sure-to-be hot seller.
Halo 4 is the much-anticipated first entry in an all-new Halo trilogy, and to celebrate the launch of one of the biggest games of the year, Microsoft is set to produce this limited edition console to accompany the historic moment.
Immediately noticeable is the exclusive, custom-made design on the Xbox 360 console, which is stylized using the same rich blue and translucent dark grey inspired by the game and matching the overall colour scheme. The actual console itself is the latest generation Xbox 360 S model and features a super-sized 320GB hard drive, built-in WiFi, and a redesigned form factor.
The two included wireless controllers feature the new United Nations Space Command (UNSC) logo, and a similar stylized presentation to the console. Also included in the bundle is a wired headset for use in online play, which plugs in directly to the base of the controller.
The "ring of light" on the console, as well as the Xbox Guide button on the controllers, will showcase a glowing blue colour similar to what's seen on the two hardware devices themselves.
Also included in the console bundle is a standard copy of Halo 4 and Xbox LIVE tokens for exclusive Halo 4 in-game and avatar marketplace downloadable content.
The Xbox Limited Edition Halo 4 Console bundle will be available day-and-date with the release of Halo 4 on November 6, 2012.
For existing Xbox 360 owners, Microsoft is also selling a standalone Xbox 360 Halo 4 Limited Edition Wireless Controller, and will include an Avatar T-shirt as exclusive downloadable content. This product will be available by October 21, 2012 and is also available for pre-order on futureshop.ca. As an added bonus for pre-orders of the Wireless Controller, Future Shop is giving away an exclusive Halo 4 Steelbook (pictured below).
