Last night goes down in the books for me as one of most memorable launch events I've attended. The good folks at Monster invited Future Shop to their "Media Mixer" at the Paris hotel in Las Vegas. This was a chance for me to chat with Monster's leadership team about the latest products at CES and beyond. Following that, I was invited to attend their new product release press conference/launch party which featured music mogul, Diddy, Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine. The launch came just hours after they held an announcement on the CES floor with Lady Gaga and Dr. Dre.

Monster positioned me in the first row so I could capture the excitement of three newest headphones added to the Beats by Dr. Dre line:

Solo HD headphones – boasts unbelievable quality and sound, and just as the name says, in high-definition. After these were unveiled, Diddy said: “Those are off the chain right there…I need a pair immediately.”

Spins or DJ headphones – engineered to bring big club sounds to the user and offers a swivel feature on both sides, a feature that received plenty of applause from the DJs at the event.

Diddy Beats earbuds – infuses fashion and great quality sound – the product that stirred the crowd last night.

“This is a very, very, very, very big day for me,” said Diddy. “This partnership is very, very unique, inspiring in so many ways. It’s really the epitome of how we’re supposed to be working with each other and not against each other and doing it through what we love, which is music.”

Check out a quick video summary of the three new products provided by “Gage” Kevin R. Karst from Monster from Future Shop’s Youtube page:

I took a medley of photos from the event and uploaded them last night on Flickr – feel free to view them too.

Additionally, view my recording of last night’s Diddy Beats press conference in its entirety, viewable from the Future Shop Youtube page.

Special thanks to the entire Monster team (especially Kitty Hain and Jerry Bortnick from Monster Canada) for inviting Future Shop to their CES press event and for their hospitality.

Update: The Diddy press conference video referenced in the second-last paragraph above was more than 10-minute limit on Youtube so we couldn't post the entire clip. We cut it into three parts. Here's the first slice for your viewing pleasure:
