Nintendo 3DS Software Showcase [Live Blog]
Nintendo is about to hold an E3 Software Showcase specially for the 3DS and we have got all the details on their way to you as we get them, raw and direct. There is sure to be several exciting titles to show off as most of the Nintendo talk so far has focused on the Wii U, leaving lots of juicy 3DS news neglected. - We open with an appearance by "Non-Specific Action Figure" on stage.
- Konami gives us a look at Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow: Mirror Of Fate gameplay which is out in autumn of 2012.
- You still have the whip attacks that the franchise is known for and the ability to grab foes for melee strikes.
- There are also a series of secondary weapons like the boomerang.
- There are four playable characters (including Alucard). Each has unique abilities.
- Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon is shown off next.
- Luigi gets a new multicolour beam which can help him detect secrets.
- The game launches in stores this holiday season.
- Then we check out Epic Mickey: Power Of Illusion
- The 2D platformer takes a lot of inspiration from the 1990 game Castle Of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse.
- This game is also out at the end of 2012
- Now we look at Paper Mario: Sticker Star's gameplay
- Just like all the other so far, the game launches this holiday season. No surprises there.
- We're then treated to a trailer for the new Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.
- The game is out on July 31st.
- "Flow Motion" and "Reality Shift" are the big new features.
- Now we take a look at ScribbleNauts Unlimited.
- Several other upcoming third-party games are featured in a montage
- Lego Batman 2: DC Superheroes
- Transformers Prime: The Game
- Rabbids Rumble
- Heroes of Ruin
- The presentation has shifted to discuss the Nintendo eShop
- Threediots is announced as a wacky comedy video series premiering on the Nintendo Video service right now.
- A playable demo for Lego Batman 2: DC Superheroes is available in the Nintendo eShop right now!
- New Super Mario Bros. 2 has another moment in the spotlight to close the show.
- The new golden fire flower turns everything you shoot into coins!
- There is a new social competitive mode called Coin Rush which, as you might imagine, is all about speed running, while collecting all the coins you can.
- You can now play the entire single player game with a friend too.
- The game launches August 19, 2012
