I had a chance to meet with Sigma during the PMA show to talk about their new cameras just announced. The cameras are: the SD15 (successor to SD14 DSLR) with an APS-C 14MP Foveon CMOS sensor, and two new DP cameras (the DP2s and DP1x) also with an APS-C 14MP Foveon CMOS sensor.

↑ Sigma DP1x and DP2s.
This type of pocket-sized cameras featuring a larger sensor was pioneered by Sigma a couple of years ago with the DP1. The DP1x and DP2s are a continuation of that, but with some significant improvements to the image processor and auto focus. Like the new rangefinder cameras, the Sigma cameras are without mirror, but the lens is not interchangeable.
The DP1x sports a 16mm f4 lens (roughly 28mm in equivalent 35mm terms), while the DP2s comes with a 24mm f2.8 lens (roughly 41mm in equivalent 35mm terms). The included lens is the main difference between the two cameras.
