tdk_wireless.jpgWireless is freedom.

The ability to take my laptop or iPad from room to room in my house and curl up on a couch or in a chair and get some work done, read some content or play a game is eternally liberating.

Cables are a tangled mess that are quickly going the way of the Zune.  We can network pretty much any of our gadgets together, even SD cards in our camera can transmit photos instantly.

Wireless headphones are a luxury that every constant traveler needs to grab.  It's one things to unpack a sleek set of noise canceling headphones when on a flight, it's another to untangle the cord and find elegant ways to pack up your gear when the window seat wants to climb over you.  TDK's WR700 Wireless Headphones are simple wireless headphones.  A base dongle to the source, headphones on your head.  That's it.

There are volume controls on the headphones so you can tuck away your pod in a pocket and not have to search for it.  They just work. I took a turn with them at the poker table and loved how they allowed me to drift away into the music and cut out the senseless chatter of the casino and let me focus on my game.

I tried them in the house and they worked easily from one side of a room to another, even from one floor to another.  You can plug the dongle into a tv, stereo or other device and enjoy your entertainment without bothering anyone else - excellent idea.

Wireless is awesome. I just wish there was a way to wirelessly to sync my iPod/iPad.  Ahem, Mr Jobs?!

catch the buzz ... pass it on.

What I like about the specs is that it takes AAA batteries.... I would use economical Eneloop rechargeables if I had a pair.
