Last month I had a sneak peek at the latest generation of Xperia phones from Sony Ericsson, including the wafer-thin arc. Now that I have an arc to test out, I made a couple of hands-on videos, taking a look at the hardware and software on this high-end Android 2.3 smartphone. Loaded with a 4.2″ screen and a great 8MP camera, Sony Ericsson has managed to fix a lot of the flaws of their first Android phone, the X10. Gone is the full fledged Timescape. In its stead SE has added a number of custom widgets and skinning to keep the Xperia branding, while not deviating too far from the 2.3 experience.
