For a short week (due to the Labour Day holiday on Monday) there was a bit of significant news.

 

A is for Apple (Corp. and Inc.)

Midway through this week, 09/09/09 to be precise, The two most famous Apples had significant events:

Apple Corp. dusted off The Beatles with two offerings that will get the Boomer's blood going again:

 

And Apple Inc. remastered some of its digital playback tech:
But Steve missed a big one. The iPod touch -- which everyone "knew" was coming with a video camera -- did not get a camera. Would-be buyers will have to settle for price cuts and faster guts instead.

Sigh, Microsoft keeps shooting self in foot
It's really a pity that someone as bright as Ballmer loses his cool on a regular basis. We can't say his latest antic tops the rest, but it's definitely going into the record books (especially if someone managed to film it).

Linux servers running a 'botnet'
A security researcher has discovered a cluster of infected Linux servers that have been corralled into a special ops botnet of sorts and used to distribute malware to unwitting people browsing the web.
