Summer is just around the corner and soon you’ll be spoiled with seasonal fruits and vegetables coming to a farmers market near you. Your body is ecstatic over the consumption of organic apples, berries, kale, guavas (the list goes on), and rightfully so, as they are powerful foods to support your energy level, vitality and not too mention, all the nutritional benefits. For many of you, ‘tis the season to juice!
It all starts with the perfect juicer so that you can be the creator of refreshing and delicious juices from all those natural fruits and veggies. Now, you have the control to make a juice that ‘clean’ of any unnecessary ingredients, like syrups and sugars. Or you could be feeling the need to do a juice cleanse to help restart your system before the summer sun! Regardless, your body deserves to be nurtured with good and flavourful foods.
Juicing is the extraction of juices from raw fruits and vegetables. A juicer helps to separate the juice from the pulp, according to the medical website, Everyday Health, here are some health claims for juicing:
- Nutrients from raw juices have the ability to correct imbalances in the body's cells that come from eating foods considered less natural.
- Enzymes that are important for your digestion are contained in raw fruit and vegetable juices, and these enzymes are destroyed by cooking.
- Since fruit and vegetable juice is easy to digest, it leaves more energy for the body to fight off diseases and heal itself. (Source: EveryDayHealth.com)
