Ubisoft and Gibson Guitars forge partnership to rock Rocksmith at launch

More good news with the release of the much-hyped Rocksmith video game by Ubisoft, a game profiled here. The Canadian developer recently announced their partnership with Gibson Guitars to really electrify Rocksmith to life by bundling the game with Epiphone Les Paul Junior guitars. This bundle is scheduled to become available on launch day (fall 2011) and will including the following:

  • Epiphone Les Paul Junior Guitar - a sweet guitar from the Gibson family of guitars.
  • Rocksmith - the rocking new game.
  • Rocksmith Real Tone Cable - a unique quarter-inch cable developed exclusively for Rocksmith. It converts the guitar's signal from analog to digital, allowing it to be recognized and played through video game consoles and Windows PC.

The Rocksmith bundle has a suggested retail price of $199.99. Rocksmith Standard Edition is presently available for pre-order for $79.99 and includes the Real Tone Cable.
