One of the fastest growing categories in consumer electronics is the wireless one. It seems like every other week there's a new phone entering the market to make our lives easier, faster and cooler. Well, the adoption rate of phones by Canadians sure can support it. As of Q1 this year, the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association (CWTA) shared nearly 26 million Canadians subscribed to a wireless plan - that's about three-quarters of our country's population.
My Future Shop PR team and I thought it'd be interesting to reflect on how phones made a huge impact on our households when landlines ruled (remember those?) to being attached to our hips, and created the infographic below.
