While LittleBigPlanet PS VIta's heartwarming narrator Stephen Fry uses words like "wonderful" and "magnificent"  with obvious and intentional exaggeration to describe just about everything in Sackboy's latest adventure, he might as well be saying it with a straight face.  Simply put, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita is such a joy to play that it's basically LittleBigPlanet 3 in the palm of your hand.

PS3 Slim or Super Slim.jpg

Back in September, Sony unveiled another new model of the PS3 Slim, the PS3 Super Slim.  Now totaling at three upgrades of the console, this looks like the last before Sony announces its next big hardware release.  While that news is still a little too far in the future, there's still plenty of time to enjoy and relish the PS3.  With the holidays nearly here, you might even want to consider grabbing the Super Slim if you don't already have the console or are looking for an upgrade.

Want to know a little bit more about the Super Slim before making the purchase?  Here's what you should expect!

When I first unpacked the Bowers & Wilkins A5, I wasn’t quite sure what to do. The A5 doesn’t exactly have a control panel, or any controls for that matter. Thankfully, the device's handy little remote helped me get everything up-and-running in just a few minutes. Here are my first impressions of B&W’s intriguing little system.

Sound familiar?  More importantly, they are the love of your life, your baby, your little man, your princess, and hold a precious place in your heart. Here’s a gift list that will keep them smiling:

I received a text message from a friend earlier today in a panic; an old hard drive that he used for storage isn’t responding when plugged in, and it’s the drive that he uses for all of his photography backup needs. Here’s how to a) trouble-shoot a dead drive and b) how to back up with more success.

Troubleshooting a dead USB drive doesn’t have to be hard. There are some simple steps you can take to see where the fault lies.

Contour Roam 2.png

It’s no secret that I love hardy little video cameras. The GoPro Hero, the Contour, the Sony ActionCam and the JVC ADIXXION are all models that can take a punch… and they’re all evolving. So far this month we’ve seen the new GoPro Hero 3, and today we’re taking a look at the Contour Roam 2.

The Contour has always been a bit of an interesting device. Built for extreme sports, it’s tough and is waterproof without a case. It’s very much a Helmet Cam, with hardware to mount in a few different ways on your bean-protectors. The Contour Roam 2 carries that tradition on, and adds some welcome new features.

The Google Nexus 7 has proven to be a solid tablet, and now you can get it with 32GB of storage, while the 8GB Acer Iconia Tab A110 is an alternative worth a look, too.

Among the biggest game of the 2012 holiday game release season is finally upon us. Assassin’s Creed III is now available nationwide to the delight of gamers. We saw the release of the first Assassin’s creed game way back in 2007 (seemingly a generation ago, in gaming terms) and we’ve seen a veritable boatload of games in the franchise since then, most of which branched off from the main series’ storyline. Its about time we got a new installment to the main story line and thankfully this looks to be the most ambitious Assassin’s Creed title to date.

Review: Forza Horizon

One of the top automotive game franchises out there these days is Forza Motorsport. It seemingly came out of nowhere to charge to the front of the pack, delivering a wonderful motorsport simulation experience with the mantra to turn car lovers into gamers and gamers into car lovers. for the past few years its been one of the best driving game experiences out there with deep customizability, and attention to detail allowing novice players and experts alike to enjoy it. Forza Horizon marks a departure from that Forza Motorsports series, branching the franchise off into a more accessible emergent open-world driving experience.

Review: Dishonored

Dishonored was one of those few new games I had been dying to play.  Whether it was the premise or the gameplay variation, something about this game struck a chord.  I've always been intrigued by stealth-action, and while they're not my forte I've always admired the patient subtleties of the genre.  The surge of video trailers, tutorials and documentaries kept me intrigued, entertained, and wanting more of this juicy game.

If you’ve got an  Xbox with Kinect, theres really good odds that you’ve tried out one of the Dance Central games already. Earlier this month Microsoft Studios, Harmonix Music Systems, and Backbone Entertainment brought us the latest installment to the #1 best selling Kinect dance franchise. Dance Central 3 is certainly similar to its predecessors, not messing with what made it such a success but there are certainly improvements and changes in this incarnation making an upgrade certainly worth consideration.

Fujifilm-XF1-diptic-title.png

I love Fuji’s X-series; they’re incredibly powerful cameras with a gorgeous retro aesthetic. And unlike the big two and all the other also-rans, Fuji’s actually doing something different in the mid-to-high-end space. You can get a cool camera that takes amazing pictures, with a look that almost no one else has. While you won’t pay Leica prices, they can be a bit much to get into. It’s a big plunge to take.

That’s why I’m so excited about the XF1; getting the optical quality of the X-series into the hands of more people is always a great thing–but when you do it this stylishly, you’re doing it right in a big way.
