Trivia time! What's the bestselling super hero video game of all time? While I would have assumed recurring headliners like Batman: Arkham Asylum or Marvel vs Capcom would be number one, this distinction actually belongs to Warner Bros' and TT Games' hugely successful LEGO Batman. I recently took the latest game in this top-selling series, LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, through its paces to see if the brick Bat continues to have what it takes to stay on top.

The hunt was on in Toronto this week as Xbox Canada hosted the Evolve Launch Party, an event celebrating the release of Turtle Rock Studios and 2K Games new multiplayer shooter. Taking place at the Burroughes Building on Queen Street West, this launch party featured numerous attractions including playable game stations, a "feeding" station, and a training room for those playing Evolve for the very first time. My first stop though was at the green screen photo booth, where as you can see above, I had a blast being the Goliath's next dinner!

I have always been a big fan of the Xbox in all of its iterations. From the Original Xbox which brought me and my friends endless hours of Halo: Combat Evolved multiplayer action, to the Xbox One where I have been dropping titans with unmatched glee, now in Titanfall for over a year. The consoles might be great but there are also some great accessories out there which can certainly improve the experience and I got the info to help you do just that!

Evolve Xbox One Open Beta Impressions

by Blogger on ‎01-21-2015 06:00 AM - last edited on ‎01-29-2015 05:06 PM by Blog Editor in Chief

It's hunting time! For the last five days I've braved the wilderness in the Evolve Xbox One Open Beta, seeking to find, and eliminate, the deadliest monsters humanity has ever encountered. Two-story high brutes that can snap you like a twig. Flying beasts that can fry you with electric blasts. And lethal teleporting assassins with blades-for-hands. Luckily, I didn't hunt alone, as with me was a team of specialized soldiers more than capable of downing these nightmarish creatures.

Hyrule Warriors Cast.jpg

What happens when you take one of the most hallowed franchises in all of gaming and toss it in the mixer with a Japanese-style hack and slash adventure? You get Hyrule Warriors, a combat-heavy alternative take on the classic mythos that plays more like a traditional Zelda game on steroids. So get ready to deal crushing damage to dozens if not hundreds of enemies at a time with characters and weapons you know and love in this clever spin-off.

Super Smash Bros - Mario_Sonic_Mega-Man_Pac-Man.jpg

While other game companies are busy pushing pixels and polygons to their limit, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U sends a blatantly clear message that Nintendo’s creative pursuits remain focused on their longstanding singular goal: to make games that are ridiculously fun to play.

Buckle up, it's racing time!

The Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta is in full-swing, and the only way to get involved is by picking up Halo: The Master Chief Collection. On now through January 18th, you'll get access to 7 different multiplayer maps, 3 different game modes, and of course, get to experience the first true next-gen Halo game built from the ground-up for Xbox One. I'm in the beta, and it's awesome!
