Easy-to setup, easy-to-use and affordable aren't always the words that come to mind when talking about video security, But, that's exactly how to describe Logitech Alert Digital Video Security, available at Future Shop stores and futureshop.ca
To get started, you choose either the Indoor Camera Master System or Outdoor Camera Master System. Both options give you HD video, built-in microphone and motion-triggered recording. The Outdoor camera also features night vision and a weatherproof design (for that unpredictable Canadian weather). Alert uses HomePlug Technology, so no wiring is requred; you simply install the software, plug the network adapter into your router, then plug in the camera elsewhere in your home or office.
The Alert system is expandable, so you can start with one camera and then add up to 5 additional cameras (any combinataion of indoor and outdoor cameras).
Once set up, you can view the video from your camera(s) on your home PC or you can log into any browser to see what's going on when you are away from the home of office. Or use the free iPad, iPhone, Android, Blackberry apps for more instant access.
