Cisco Home Networking, which includes award-winning Linksys products and user-friendly Cisco Connect software, is on a journey to continually improve the home network experience in years to come. The main idea is to create a platform that people will engage with everyday—not only because of the easy-to-use setup and management software it comes with, but also because of its ability to add new apps in a progressive stream for long into the future.
Along the way to the launch of these routers, there have been some key milestones:
- Recently released Cisco Connect Express mobile app on iTunes and the Android Marketplace,—A simple-to-use and elegant interface to see a home network, manage its settings and control guest access, quickly and efficiently, without having to go to a computer.
- The April 2012 introduction of the Cisco Home Networking Platform and Application Enabled (EA) Series Smart Wi-Fi Router—A foundation for expanding great customer experiences whether at home or on the go, one that will run Cisco Connected Cloud, web browser-based software for remote access and management of the home network, and all the devices connected anytime anywhere.
- Cisco Connect Cloud, expected to be available in June 2012—A secure Cisco Connect Cloud account offers anytime, anywhere access to a home network, plus new apps that make online experiences easier and more enjoyable.
