From buying fluorescent bulbs to turning down the thermostat, most people are taking steps to live more eco-friendly lifestyles. Waste reduction and energy conservation are significant parts of the battle to minimize our overall environmental impact.

At Epson, we strive to create innovative products that are reliable, recyclable and energy efficient.

Power consumed during product use makes up a large portion of a product's total environmental impact across its life cycle. At Epson, we set energy-conservation goals for each of our products:

·         Printers - our inkjet printers are designed to reduce power consumption in standby mode by maintaining low power consumption in those components where power supply can be reduced to the required minimum.

·         Projectors - our projectors feature innovations for reducing power consumption. One particular example includes automatic reduced lamp output when users close the slide lens cover to lower power consumption.

·         Scanners – our scanners are designed to reduce power consumption in standby mode with the use of LED light sources and by limiting the number of points in the scanner to which power is supplied.

Epson is committed to building products that use fewer resources to help ensure a brighter future for us all.  We also take pride in how we design our products with an eye towards the environment. Click here to find out more about Epson and the Environment.
