I'm forsure getting a hand held gaming system this week and although my GameBoy colour is awesome Im looking to get something a little more modern. I know what kind of games you can play on PSP ( God of War, Shooter games, ect. ) and what games you can play on the 3DS ( Mario , kirby, Zelda , etc. ) But I was wondering which one is the funnest or which one has the funner games?

Kind of tricky topic since its more of a personal thing and really hard for someone to suggest one over the other. One can suggest a system they like doesn't mean you would like it as much.

I would suggest a 3DS simply because I like the style of the system the library of games. You can play both DS games and 3DS games. The 3D is kind of a gimmick and I find myself never using it.

I know friends who would suggest a PSP for the exact same reason.

Also you might want to look into a PS Vita its the next gen handheld from Sony and it releases 2/22/12 not too far away.

Best bet would be to read up on both system and make a informed decision that suits you to your needs.

Trick question because it all depends.

Check out the game libraries of both systems and see if there are any 'must have' games that are exclusive to one or the other.

It all comes down to the games.  It doesn't really matter which is a superior system technically.  If you are going for PSP, you might as well wait for the Vita to release.  If the PSP ever goes on sale it might be then.

Also consider that if you are want to be able to purchase any new software released pretty much from now forward, you absolutely need to avoid the PSP. With the release of the Vita next month, new software for the PSP is essentially obsolete, and by purchasing one, you are commiting yourself only to a back catalogue (albeit a decent one) of games.

In my opinion, both Sony and Nintendo publish a lot of fun content, and it is personal preference. However, if you are a casual gamer who doesn't want to spend a fortune on handheld gaming, then:

PSP < PS Vita < 3DS

If your a serious gamer with disposable cash to spare right now, then:

PSP < 3DS < PS Vita

Great points from everyone; it really depends what kind of gamer you are.

I personally love my DS lite and would consider the PSVita when it comes out; I want to get a great gaming experience and the Vita has stellar graphics.

You should do your research on both the 3DS and PSVita; even give both a test run in stores when the Vita comes out in Feb to see what feels better in your hands as well.
