Just come back Heartland Futureshop to do the Castlevania: Lord of Shadow trade in.

I trade in Uncharted 2 and Ratchet & Clank Future Crack in time which both are eligible. Since it is my first time doing the trade in, the Sale has to start from the beginning to create the card and he trades in both game for the total value of $ 30. However when he goes through all the steps to preorder the game, it doesn't work at all. After numerous try from different computer, it still doesn't work and he tells me it only works when the actual shipment arrive next week. He ends up just tell me to bring the receipt which prove I traded in both game today with total value of $ 30 and ask for the trade in. Not sure if this is true as I done trade in from other place which never happen to me. I never done trade in in Futureshop, just wondering if anyone encounter the same problem as I do or know if i bring in the receipt next week , will it still work to get the actual game ?

Hi,

We can't process the actual trade until the game is out. Normally if someone wanted a game before it was released we would sell a pre-order SKU, however, the trade-in promotions do not work on pre-order SKUs and we can't use the actual game SKU as it won't let us process it until the game is out. If you come back into that store on Tuesday, all should be well!

Just to add on... If you do any trade-in game promo before the release date, then it needs to be done in 2 parts. Part one is where you physically trade-in 2 eligible titles (list of games can be found HERE) for store credit. The second part can only be completed either on, or after the release date of the game. Once the game is available to the public, the original receipt of the trade and store credit from the 2 traded games needs to be brought into your local Future Shop and the Entertainment Associate can process the game promotion in exchange for the credit.
