The recent flyer says you can get some pre-order games free by trading in 2 games. Can these be any 2 games or do they need to be certain ones?

You should be able to, since it's something that will be given with the standard edition of the game. Just grab the game when you go into the store, show your receipt and you should get the steelbook with the game.
