Doesn't the CE of Mass Effect come with a steelbook?

As for the promotion itself, I really like the 3 steelbooks I've gotten and will definitly be watching to see how futureshop continues the program in 2012.

The "Collection Cases" are fantastic by the way, I love having all of my AC games in one case. Here's hoping thats what Mass Effect's Steelbook turns out to be (with room for the two bonus disks from the earlier CEs would be impossibly amazing).

I heard a story that a customer didn't receive the Future Shop Call of Duty Steelbook because the staff reasoned the customer was already getting a Steelbook in the Hardened Edition.

I think the description for the ME3 CE says "tin", which may mean it's similar to the ME1 CE.  An actual tin box, as opposed to a steelbook.

The tin that the CE of ME3 will be the standard packaging for the CE. The steelbook is a Future Shop exclusive that should be in addition to whatever packaging the CE comes in, assuming that those who get the CE also get the steelbook.

The Mass Effect 2 CE also descrirbed as a "tin case" before release but ended up being a pretty sweet steelbook.

How about a re-release of the popular/screwed up ones from 2011?

Specifically,  I know several people that missed out on the Gears of War 3 Steelbook (myself included), as it came out early on amid confusion of how the whole process worked. That and the limited availability and even more limited list of stores doing the midnight launch (which changed at the last minute) made it nearly impossible to get. 

Failing that, I'd like to see a multi-disc Halo "collection" case, and Borderlands 2.

I managed to find an Assassin's Creed collection steelbook at the Chatham Future Shop whiel visiting my parents with my wife (there were three, actually), and bought it for $10, as I didn't feel like buying the game itself since I own all of them already. There was also a F.E.A.R. 3 steelbook, which looked nice, but since I don't own or want the game, I didn't see the need to get it. I was impressed with the find, since I missed out the first time around

Resident Evil 6 steelbook would be pretty cool as the game was just announced recently.
