Nintendo UK have it preorder up in their store. Unfortunately you need to be residence of UK. It is good that they limit all order to 1. Hope Bestbuy have the same policy and enforce people with multiple order to be cancelled.

BestBuy already has the 1 per household limit for a lot of items like amiibos. However, there are plenty of ways to simply bypass this to get more than one unit. And there are no definitive way to settle this.

1 person can have multiple addresses, credit cards, email addresses

1 person can ask his dad, mom, uncle, aunt or anyone to use their information

BestBuy does a best effort on the 1 per household limit but let's face it... it simply cannot be enforced.

Very True Yannick. The issue isn't only videogames. Clothing, shoe, famous toys & so many other are being targeted by online bots. These people are there only to buy multiple and sell at higher price. It is quite lucreative business and no way for anyone to stop it unless Nintendo are making way more supply to meet the demand.

Other method I find quite useful is buy a product and get a this product at this price. It is bundle deal that will for sure eliminate scalpers. It will certainly clear out product you no longer need. Nintendo should've done this with Wii U. Every purchased of Wii U, you can get NES classic when you register online with Nintendo store. This means scalper would need to buy a lot of WiiU just to get NES classic and then try flipping it.

This is how Nintendo was able to do with their club nintendo exclusive DS games and Game & Watch replica. To get it, you would need to purchase their product and get enough points to get those item. This actually makes the product limited and you don't see scalper driving price for their hard to find games. So this actually will bring down the price to normal state and won't create artificicial inflating price.

I believe Nintendo should make the scalper work hard to get their item rather than preorder bunch using bots and then resell them for higher price. Sad thing is website like flea-bay just use the sold listing and use that as guide. so every person wants to sell use flea-bay listed price.

Simple Solution to end the BOTS..Kick it old School and have the item sold in "in store only" 1 per person.  Although inconvenient for online shoppers at least it now becomes a level playing field. Line-up or Shut-up!  haha

And even that doesn't prevent someone from visiting multiple stores or go in line with several friends/family members. Scalpers are well organised since it's a lucrative business.

In the end, there's no perfect scenario. This time, people are well aware how rare and difficult to get this might be so it's up to everyone of us to do our best to get one Smiley Wink
