I'm trying to connect my son's xbox 360 to the 16 year old tube tv in the basement and all I have been able to find in stores are component cables but I need a composite cable. I know Microsoft used to make one and bestbuy used to sell them but apart from **competitor** and kajiji I can't seem to find them anywhere else.. any thoughts on where I could track one down?

thanks! I really appreciate the help. I thought I might be able to cheat it with the Insignia universal component cable but it seems you can only cheat with a component connection, not the cable... I have been able to find them on kajiji and **competitor** and the like but I'm also going to try some local independant shops, see if they have anything.

Smaller local electronics stores might work. You might also be able to find an adapter for HDMI or component that might work, and then you'd only need to find a standard composite cable.
I found something on a competitor's (The S), but it's online only and the price leaves a bit to be desired, but I am confident that it would work for what you need. Just run a search in Google for "HDMI to composite adapter" and you'll find it.
The problem with these types of adapters is the price. It's such a small market that needs them the cost of development is higher, so they get sold at a higher price in order to offset the cost and still make a profit.
Hope that helps!

I was able to find a universal cable at a chain specialising in used equipment that did the trick. Once I figured out that there was a glitch in the Lego Dimensions tutorial from my son not downloading the update he was off to the races.
thanks again for the help.
