A few years back before windows 7 was released, you guys had a deal which included: if you buy a Windows Vista laptop or PC you will get Windows 7 Upgrade for free. I was wondering if you guys will have that deal for windows 8. I am in need of a laptop but i really want windows 8. So I'm just deciding whether to wait for the release or not.
Thank you to whoever replies

The promo is actually from Microsoft. With a fall release, you need to wait until a month before the Win8 release date.
If you buy a machine now, you will need to by Win8 separately.

Personally unless you are getting a touch screen I would stay away from Windows 8 its not very easy to use if you have a traditional PC with a mouse and keyboard

Last I read, there are two interfaces.... for those with and without touch screens.
If you don't have a computer. Get one at your convenience. If you have a functional computer, then wait until Win8 details are released.
If you want to try it out now... consider a old machine and install the Beta.

FYI, Windows 8 is in an open beta. mtrump, one of our community ambassadors, posted a really great thread about his experiences with the OS thus far that may give you a better idea of what it's all about.

fyi... PCMag reports if you purchase a Win7 machine between June 2, 2012 to Jan 13, 2013. You can upgrade to Win8 for $15....

As in the article... you might want to wait if you wish for a touchscreen to better take advantage of the new OS.
Offer good for Canada and US....

You can make Win8 look like Win7 for the most part. I have been using the Consumer Preview for months.
I do prefer Win7 at this point though. If you get Win7 may as well stick with it IMO

Mark down October 26, as this is the day that Windows 8 will be officially available.
