Something else I should add is the abliity for many Smart Phone Twitter applications to include GPS data along with the tweet.  If you don't give your exact location in text, it could still be trackable.

On their own each of these pieces of data are not useful, it's when you combine location information with address info with other personal data that things can get tricky and lead bad people to do bad things.
