I think it depends on the make model of your BD player.

I use a PS3 and I can vouch for that.  It plays DVD+R and DVD-Rs fine.

Yes it will i have tried it and found that it can play burned dvds.

It's not just the burned DVD that you will want to make note of.  Most DVD players and Blu-ray players can read DVD-R and DVD+R just fine.  Make sure to check the manual on your Blu-ray player to ensure that the file format that you have put on the burned DVD is supported by the player.  If it's not, it really doesn't matter whether the player can read the disc, you still won't be able to play the file.

THey will play on all my PCs but will not play on my DVD players. .... blue ray player does not play burned dvds; blue ray player play bootleg dvds
