blackberry help

I've had my blackberry for about 3 months now and noticed a slight screen problem. The bottom right corner of the screen seems to be lifted or out of place. the phone has never been dropped and no physical damage what so ever other than the light scratches. I purchased my device at FS without the extended warranty but considering It would be fine without it. What are my options?

THANKS

Re: blackberry help
Without pictures and a model number, it would be hard to assess the situation. I would visit a store and let a store rep have a look and if needed be directed where you can take it for a quick service checkup.

Certain Blackberry models allow some customization (color panels, coloured trackballs, and coloured trackpads) and parts are have little snaps that might have loosened. Some snaps can be fixed with a little pressure at a key point. Others will require a screwdriver. Be careful, the screws may have tampering systems that will void warranties. As a result, I would show your phone to a rep to get a better opinion.

Re: blackberry help

Yes, the Bold 9700 is customizable.... however I recommend bringing into the store and show the rep....

The screen and side snaps needs you to tamper with the screws to get to them.  You don't want to void your warranty.

Re: blackberry help
since I purchases the phone @ FS am I still able to go to the telus store and have them inspect the issue and have it repaired? the phone is still i'n mint condition and no physical damage. I remember seeing this issue the first day of purchase and it any bother me till I placed a privacy screen. I just want my issue fixed or atleast a new or refurb device.

Re: blackberry help

Start with taking your 9700 back to FS where you got the phone and see what they have to say.

PS... I don't sell phones, so I can't answer how they would handle this situation, especially without looking at your phone.  However, I do own a 9700 (love it) and have removed the panels to have it spray painted (voiding the warranty).  As a result, I am familar with the snaps around the display.
