                Re: best way to connect for optimum performance

                Hello;

                I would definately video switch the Blu-Ray player through the Samsung 720S amplifier, using HDMI from Blu-Ray to AMP, and HDMI out to TV.

                Hhowever I would make sure I ran Starchoice DSR505 direct to TV using component. The DSR505 had all kinds of issues with HDMI and becomes very unreliable after firmware updates from Starchoice. (aka Shaw Direct).

                Using optical cable from StarChoice to receiver, and assigning the input would be key!.

                i know this message is old, hopefully someone new stumbles across it and it helps!
