first time on here so here goes! i have a vista pc with media center, and have wireless for my laptop and ps3. just bought the DIR 655 and it works great!. now my question is...how do i access my Media Center from my pc on either of my two lcd tv's? it will have to be wirelessly as the two tv's are not close to the computer.
as you can tell i'm new to fiddling with this stuff, in the end i would like to enjoy my pics, videos, music that is in my Media Center on my hometheaters (tv's).
any advice on this would be great. hoping i dont have to spend a wad of money either.![]()

There are many ways in which you can access files from a computer on your network by using your laptop. You could use network sharing folders for example. You could also try using remote desktop, although this may slpw down the speed at which you can access things.
Is that what you mean? You want to access your media on your TV upstairs from your desktop downstiars?

There is a few ways to do this most being expensive for this kind of thing.
I see you have a ps3 would you also have a xbox360????? If so the hard part is done and all you would need is a xbox360 wireless adapter (the new 802.11 N version is best for wireless access to windows media center especially if you are streaming videos)
If not what you are looking for is Digital Media Receiver or Wireless Media Extender, something like the Netgear Push2TV Wireless TV Adapter or for HD Rocketfish Wireless HDMI Adapter, So like I said expensive to do this sort of thing.
Also if you have a Samsung blu-ray player or TV that is a 2009+ model you could all ways try something like the Samsung USB Wireless Lan Adaptor. Not sure on how well it works though.
So in the end the easiest thing to do for HD is buy a xbox 360 so you get 2 in one and this is the easiest to setup and is designed to run well with Media Center. Hope some or all of this helps.
