Hi Jesse, 

  To correct the poster above, 1080p is actually 1920x1080.  I too had the same problem when connecting my PC to my 1080p Sony Bravia.  I actually found out after many weeks of trying to solve the problem that its likely the connection TYPE that is causing the problem.  I was running a DVI - HDMI cable from my PC and getting a screen that didn't actually fit (unlike you, I wasn't able to see it all, even with both my PC and TV set at 1080p output).

   I switched over and connected my PC with a DVI - VGA adapter and VGA cable and poof, it worked perfect.  I'm using this product right HERE.

   Hope this helps, it fixed my problem.
