Ah the white screen of death! You can try pressing in the sleep/wake button, while holding in the home button for roughly 10 seconds. Its supposed to work.

If that fails to solve the problem then there is restore feature on itunes.

If that fails try to return it or phone apple and you will probably be asked to send it in to them so they can fix it.
