Thanks for your question!
There are actually a couple of good threads that are already going on the forums here. Check out this one or this one for good direction from many experienced users on the forums.
Also, you could sign up to the forums and tell us what type of games you are looking at playing. That will definitely help us tailor some advice specifically to you and your needs so that you can get exactly what you want ![]()
Keep in mind as well that with laptops, you will end up paying more than if you were getting a desktop with similar specs. Also, desktops, especially for higher performance stuff, tend to run better than laptops with equivalent specs.
Good luck!

Just look for a laptop with these specs or higher:
15.6in or 17in screen size
3GB-4GB DDR3 or DDR2 800 RAM
Core2Duo @ 2ghz, Intel i7 @ 1.6ghz, Intel i5 : 2ghz, Core2Quad: 2.2ghz
A dedicated Graphics card which atleast 512mb of RAM,
Minimum of 1366x768 resolution.
There are lots of laptops in Future Shop that would be suitable for gaming.
Tell me your budget and I will link a few or just look for something with those specs and you can't go wrong.

The Gateway NV59 is pretty good, I picked it up a month ago just to use for throwing HD content up on my new tv, but it has a intel i3 CPU which is decent, 4 gigs ram and a ATI HD 5650 which has had no problems playing back mass effect 2, dragon age, team fortress 2 and Lineage 2.
If you want to really game though, go with a desk top, you will always get better performance for your cash.
The NV59 only costs 700$ last I checked so its a good bang for your buck.
