When you purchased your Gateway Desktop Did you apply for the free copy of the software?

you need to go through this website: http://www.futureshop.ca/popup/windows7_lightbox02.asp

Choose the proper Brand, Provide the Serial number and proof of Purchase,

then you will recieve the copy of Windows 7.
